Twixtmas Mindful Photography Wednesday 30th December 2026
10.30am - 12.30pm at Micheldever Wood, near Winchester
Christmas has been celebrated, the New Year is waiting. Come and discover the stillness between the celebrations and see the winter woodland through fresh eyes.
Step away from the leftovers, television and crowded rooms for a slow, gentle morning amongst the trees. This restorative Forest Lens experience combines forest bathing with mindful photography, helping you clear your head, awaken your senses and notice the quiet beauty of the winter woodland.
Guided through a series of gentle invitations, you’ll be encouraged to slow down and explore what catches your attention: winter light filtering through bare branches, tiny details beneath your feet, unexpected colour, beautiful textures and the shapes and stories held within the trees.
Your phone or camera becomes a simple lens for deeper noticing without the pressure of a measure of skill or the means to create a perfect photograph.
This is not a technical photography workshop. You don’t need a special camera or any photography experience or even to think of yourself as creative. There is nothing to achieve and no pressure to share your photographs. Come exactly as you are and allow the woodland to meet you there.
We’ll finish with warm cacao and quiet reflection together, with an opportunity to consider what you would like to carry into the coming year.
This experience may feel especially nourishing if Christmas has left you feeling overstimulated, emotionally stretched or simply in need of fresh air and a little space for yourself.
