Spring Equinox Forest Lens Practice Micheldever Wood Friday 20th March
A gentle seasonal gathering of forest bathing and mindful photography
Guided by Kokoro Grove, this immersive experience blends forest bathing (shinrin-yoku) with mindful photography - using the camera or phone as a tool for presence, curiosity and connection, to nurture your creative spark whilst finding peace and calm within nature.
Step into the turning of the year and meet spring as it arrives at Micheldever Wood near Winchester, Hampshire. The Spring Equinox is a moment of balance with light and dark in perfect equality. In the forest, it’s a subtle threshold: buds swelling, sap rising, birdsong returning.
Together, we’ll mark this seasonal shift with intention, tuning into the quiet signs of renewal and allowing the forest to gently reawaken our own creative and nervous systems.
This special Spring Equinox Forest Lens Practice is an invitation to slow right down, soften your gaze, and experience the woodland through both your senses and your lens be that a specialised camera, a mobile phone camera or nothing at all. You’ll be guided to notice light, texture, movement and colour, allowing images to emerge naturally from your embodied experience.
This is not about taking perfect photographs. It’s about seeing differently. No photography experience is needed. The pace is unhurried. Silence is welcomed. Sharing is always optional. This is a practice of presence, not performance.
This experience is especially suited to you if you:
- Feel drawn to the changing seasons
- Enjoy photography but want to loosen perfectionism
- Are curious about forest bathing in a gentle, accessible way
- Crave creative rest and nervous system nourishment
- Want to mark the equinox with intention rather than busyness
You are welcome exactly as you are.
